Accessible guest rooms feature a visual alarm available on request, a wheelchair-accessible route in the room, a telephone with visual call alert available on request, communication kits available with strobe lights, a visual door knocker and hearing devices, power outlets within 4 inches of telephone, power outlets with a clear space in front of at least one outlet 15 inches from the ground, a table and/or desk height accessible with knee space of 27 inches (width) and 34 inches (height), a telephone with volume control available on request, hearing-impaired light alerts available on request, a standing lamp touch control or desk lamp with knob control, lowered individual thermostat control, drapery controls with a 36-inch clear path within reach, wands lowered with arm hoops, bars and/or shelving lowered in closet, an accessible path of travel around beds and a low-level iron.
Accessible guest rooms have bathrooms with a lower counter height with access to pull underneath, lower mirrors, a raised toilet seat available on request, grab bars at the tub, a tub seat available, a portable shower seat, a hand-held shower wand and low-level towel hooks and racks.
